Riding tuition in the school
We offer
hourly, daily, weekend breaks or fully inclusive 3 to 7 night holidays for
this.
Inclusive Holidays (Option E):
Instruction
Morning and afternoon lessons of your
choice (see below), tailored to your interests, needs and objectives. Our goal is to
teach in an easily understood way. We also offer to
teach the classical methods that have stood
the test of time and you can choose this one-to-one option if you wish. No gimmicks or ’techno-speak’. Depending on ability
you can ride quiet or more advanced horses. We offer novice classes
where age or standard of riding is unimportant, advanced lessons,
lateral work, flying changes, High School, piaffe, passage,
work-in-hand & on the long rein,
Doma Vaquera, driving, stallion management, showing/presentation
or training and showing a Cobra of mares. You can choose a
combination of these. We expect you to enjoy a minimum of 2 hours
working with the horses each day and you are welcome to watch horses
work, or enjoy the centre’s facilities all day.
Our
instructors are experienced in all the disciplines offered.
The Horses
Predominantly
Purebred Spanish horses, Portuguese
Lusitanos, a Tres Sangres and an Anglo Arabe. Our horses have great
'spirit', yet are gentle and intelligent. You may learn as much from the
horses as from the instructors! Our more experienced horses are capable
of elevated movements and High School as well as good extension and they
move with lightness, collection and with excellent balance and cadence.
Classical riding enthusiasts have the opportunity to experience the horse of the 'masters' of years gone by.

Typical itinerary (7 night

Day one (Saturday) |
We pick you up from
Alicante or St Javier (Murcia) airport, or Albacete train station and
take you to your hotel.
Depending on flight arrival
times, you may have time to unpack your bags, freshen up, or enjoy a
drink in the hotel’s bar before we collect you and take you to a local
restaurant or to the riding centre for a 'welcome' meal, where you can
meet other riders, relax, or discuss the riding to come.
If
your flight arrives after 18.00 then you may miss this first
meal, but snacks are usually available at the hotels.
|
Day two (Sunday) |
After your hotel breakfast we collect you and take you to the
riding centre (approx 15 minutes drive) to meet your horse, ride in our school
and get acquainted. After lunch you can enjoy your first choice of lessons in the
school. |
Evening |
If
there is time after your ride (or tour) you can relax at our centre and bar. In
the evening you have a choice; either we take you out for your evening
meal at
a local restaurant, or maybe at the Centre, or if you prefer we can take
you back to your hotel where we will have organised a choice of meals
for you and of course afterwards you can explore the town of Hellin, visit the bars and clubs or just enjoy a walk in the park. The choice
is yours. |
|
|
Days three to seven (Monday to Friday)
Mornings |
After your hotel breakfast we collect you and take you to the
riding centre to enjoy the
riding activities you have booked, then perhaps watch the other horses or just relax in
our bar area or patios.
Riding in the school can include Doma Classica or
Vaquera, work-in-hand, long-reining, work with the garrocha,
driving, handling
youngstock and/or stallions, depending on demand.
During 7 night all inclusive holidays on Wednesday mornings only we leave you free to
relax or explore the market town of Hellin (morning market) and to get
your own lunch in the town or at the hotel - this is the only meal not
included in your holiday package.
|
|
Afternoons |
More
riding in the school.
|
Evenings |
If
there is time after your ride (or tour) you can relax at our centre and bar. In
